"TAP is an in-house visual arts training program that gives artists with disabilities the opportunity to learn how to speak and teach about their artwork. With Virginia’s acute attention to detail, organizational skills, and true dedication to the field of art education, she successfully balanced not only dozens of different teaching opportunities per week but the diverse range of learners she’d encounter at each one.

"Her full schedule led to a fast-paced work environment where she often worked independently. I had full confidence in her work ethic as she was an excellent communicator, problem solver and collaborator from day one. Virginia’s sensitivity towards tough situations and overall thoughtful nature made her not only approachable and desirable to work with as a colleague, but an asset in the classroom."

     - Jamie Muenzer of Visionaries + Voices

"I also appreciated Virginia’s keen organization and detail-orientated skills, which were visible through her ability to prepare teachers for the art activity, provide engaging and age-appropriate presentations, and facilitate spontaneous interactions between Teaching Artists and Wordplay participants.

"Her preparation and guidance allowed for teachers to reach their highest potential as leaders and for our students to enjoy unique arts experiences they would otherwise not have access to."

     - Kirsten Zook of Wordplay Cincy
