My work reflects the challenge of expression through visual compositions, inspired by my insufficiency of words. Unlike the stress of finding the right word, my body and mind enjoy the labor of working until the sensory process and the visual result come to a satisfying pause and sometimes completion. I embrace the discomfort of wandering, learning, and wrestling with new materials. The goal is never object-centered, it is to be present, to build new repertoires of making, and in a controlled environment be completely and utterly lost.
